Happy New Year to all of you! I trust you all had a relaxing holiday break. It is standard custom at this time of the year to look back at what was, and then look forward toward a future with hope and prosperity. It is my hope for our lodge as I trust it is with all of you, that we continue to grow, our lodge is once again becoming youthful, but we must never forget the knowledge that all our Past Masters have brought and will continue to bring. I would ask that all masons look toward their own futures and plan accordingly. Entered Apprentices and Fellowcraft, look well to your work and continue your journey. Master Masons, look toward the East and consider being an officer. If this is not in the near future, look at committee work to be a working part of your lodge. Officers, prepare for your next task. Past Masters, watch the younger workmen, advise and exemplify.

Our December month saw us very busy. At our regular meeting we raised Garry Chandler to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. We quickly followed that up with our Breakfast with Santa put on by the brethren. The breakfast was a great success and I am happy to see the numbers grow with each year. Thank you to all the brethren who helped out with this annual event. Thank you to W. Bro. Scott Best for being the ticket liaison for the Morrow Road Christmas party hosted by Kerr Lodge, I hope that we can once again make this the Tri Lodge Christmas party in the years to come. The following week we initiated Bro. Jordan Beatty in due and ancient form. I have no doubts that Jordanís sponsors will be a constant in his Masonic life. Ordinarily we would have had our Christmas Social on our emergent night but this year we had it the following evening. Bro. Matt Pindera put on a wonderful social and was enjoyed by all who attended. And I would be remiss if I did not extend my thanks once more to W. Bro. Dave Cuthbertson and all the brethren on taking care of our Widows this holiday season, I know they appreciate the attention they receive as much as the baskets that are prepared for them.

Our Masonic year marches ever forward brethren and before we know it we will be welcoming another to sit in the East. As the New Year begins I hope to leave behind a bit of my past, and as I said in open lodge earlier in December I would not be where I am today if it were not for the support of the brethren in lodge. I urge any of you if you are ever in need or in dire circumstance, reach out to a brother, for yourself, for your friends and for your family. There is no better support system then Brotherly Love. Be well brethren and I look forward to continuing to work with all of you for the rest of the year.

W. Bro. Adam Dicks
