Brethren.

2024 started on a very somber note as we said farewell to V.W. Bro. Doug Jagges and W. Bro. James Chisholm, each with a Masonic Memorial Service. It was a stark reminder of the short time we have together, and a time for all of us to gather and honour them with our own mortality in mind.

With many Brethren travelling and visiting Lodges all over world during the holidays, it was refreshing to see so many in attendance for our regular meeting. We all look forward to hearing the stories of their experience.

For January's regular meeting, after taking care of business, we turned our attention to an education piece on the Masonic Memeorial Service to better explain the reasons why and how to perform this important public ceremony. As a reminder, please ensure your families are aware of your wishes for a Masonic Service as we have to be asked by the family to perform one.

Once again it was great to see so many brethren visiting within the District and even filling Officer chairs and performing work in other Lodges during the month.

At our Regular meeting on February 1st, we will be passing Bro. Jeron Hall to the Second Degree. We will also be discussing the Condition of Masonry report we have received from Grand Lodge. At our Emergent meeting on February 8th, we will go up to the 3rd to prove Brothers Black Kamra, and Liviero.

Blood donation. Our second blood donation on January 18th was a great success. The next scheduled donation night is Thursday March 21st. Please register, sign up and let's get another great showing. Contact W. Bro. Fraser if you are having any difficulties.

"Scotch Night" District Fundraiser.

Mark the date – April 6th. There is an expectation that each member will attend and also do their best to promote the event to family and friends. Tickets are $90 and include a 4-course meal. Once again, feel free to collect the ticket cost and to submit the names and number of tickets sold to the secretary so we can maintain an accurate count. Tickets can be picked up at the Lodge or from any Officer. As mentioned previously, this event will contribute the majority of our fundraising efforts for the District Project.

Social Media/Web Site

R.W. Bro. Secretary, Bro. Nithin Liviero, and I continue to look into the options in order to improve our website. With your feedback we have identified the improvements needed to gain better exposure, drive traffic to the site and to reach out to potential candidates interested in joining our Lodge.
